Best Photographer 2020 - Thank You!

About a month ago I got a phone call. The kind person on the other end told me that you guys voted me the best photographer in the area. I haven’t been able to share this information until recently, and I’m so pumped to be able to share it with you now. Last year was something special, and it was each one of you wonderful people who made it that way.

The great thing about photography is that I not only get to capture life, capture moments, and take great photographs, but I get to experience so much with you. In 2019 we traveled to Mexico, to Texas, to Montana (a couple of times!), and to Portland. We climbed mountains and lay in fields. I saw you guys laugh and cry, and I was there when you were married, or when you were starting a new family. I said congratulations to some of my oldest friends as they got married. (I even gave a toast!) I experienced so much life with you. From playing to laughing, to lying on the edge of cliffs, each moment is something I remember, and something I love.

Now this blog isn’t my best of 2019 blog (that’s coming!), but this is just about thanking you — for thinking of me, for letting me be there in those moments, for letting me photograph the most important people in your life and the most important moments you will ever take part in.

While I go through these images, I think of how blessed I am to do a job I love, to interact with such kind and generous people, to be a part of something special. This wouldn’t happen without you — so thank you.
