Joe and Alison had one of my favorite weddings of the year in beautiful Montana, just outside Glacier National Park. It wasn’t my favorite because it was so beautiful (which is was) or because there were people there that I knew (which I did). Those things certainly made their wedding even more amazing. No, my highlight was the people - both the Mitzel family (whom I have grown to highly enjoy, both for their compassion, kindness, and love for life) as well as the Lunde family (whom I got to meet for the first time at this wedding). Joe and Alison are two amazing people, two people I would have been friends with had our lives crossed, and two people I felt so privileged to be chosen to capture one of the most important days of their life. So here are some of my favorite photographs from their incredible Montana wedding.
Read MoreAlmost a decade ago Brenden and I parked cars together. We were friends, although we were never best friends. I loved how he possessed a large amount of common sense, worked hard, and had a good sense of humor. Then we both got different jobs, and life took us different directions. But this year I got to reconnect with him, get to know Katie, his incredible, beautiful bride, and capture these two at their super laid back, lakeside wedding. I had so much fun getting to know people, and capturing these two and the amazing moments surrounding it.
Read MoreThere was something amazing about Casey and Diane’s wedding. It wasn’t just the incredible weather, the beautiful details, or the incredible wedding. It was all the people. And often times that comes down to the bridal party (of which I highly enjoyed everyone on this bridal party) but in this case i’m also referring to the guests. Throughout the day we had the chance to meet many of their guests, and we enjoyed every minute of it. Their friends and family made their day even more beautiful, and each moment was something I absolutely loved to photograph. I’m so pumped I get to share these photos with you.
Read MoreThere is so much I could say about Aimee and Tina’s wedding. I could talk about how we met, and how we got to know each other through the planning process, how this is my first same-sex wedding, or what it was like to pose ten woman in a bridal party. But i’m not really going to talk about any of those things. Instead, I want to reflect on who Aimee and Tina are, and my experience with them.
Read MoreBeing a wedding photographer, I get to see a lot of weddings. I get to see a lot of ideas come to frusition, a lot of ways people decided to plan and execute their wedding day. Chris and Jennifer had something new for me though. Not only was their day beautiful and unique with some amazing details (look no further than the copper cup favors) and beautiful moments (first dance, anyone?).
Read MoreKevin and Alex are people that are SO easy to like. They are both kind and genuine, with incredible smiles and kind hearts. They just love those around them. And on their wedding day, which took place at Mrs Kalin’s Barn in Green Bluff Washington, it was even more obvious. Why? Well, weddings are “All about the couple” but they just didn’t seem to be that way. Now, don’t get me wrong, the day was still certainly about them, but it didn’t feel that way. Their family was kind, their bridal party fun, and I enjoyed each part of the day, from their incredible portratis, the beautiful first dance. I’m so happy I get to share these wedding photos with you, these memories and moments that will last a lifetime.
