Cole and Nicky had an absolutely incredible wedding. Every aspect of it was beautiful, from the dress, to the portraits, to the cathedral (which was downtown Spokane at Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes), to the reception (taking place at the Manito Golf and Country Club). I had such a blast. Not just because so many things went right, but also because of the people. Cole and Nicky are such incredible genuine people, and that extends to their bridesmaids and groomsman as well, who were just easy to have fun with - they were quick to laugh and easy to talk to. Their guests were equally there, and so when it came time to dance boy did they DANCE. I’m unsure if i’ve ever seen a dance floor that full for that long (shout out to DJ Dolph for killing it). Hailey at Halo Events put together an incredible event, and i’m so happy I was able to be there to capture it.
Read MoreKyan and Beth are two people I feel so blessed to know. From the very moment I met them in the coffee shop, I have genuinely enjoyed their company. I always tell couples that getting along with your photographer is super important, and this wedding made this even more apparent to me, as I had the chance to eat with the couple (as they ate away from all their guests, we ended up sharing a table inside). This just reinforced to me how great these two are. You take them, and add in their incredible friends and (large) families and you end up with a wedding that is incredibly unique and beautiful. Look no further than their dancing photos. What a wedding, I enjoyed every minute of it, and i’m so excited I get to share these photos with you.
Read MoreChris and Kelsey had quite the journey to their August 14 wedding. From what I understand, they had to reschedule some four or five times, only finding me on that fifth time, slowly moving out of 2020 to 2021. What a blessing it was for me that they would end up booking me. These two are so kind, not just to each other, but to those around them. They are so quick to laugh (look no further than the photos below) and we had so much fun getting to know each of the bridal party. Their wedding featured several things that don’t normally happen, such as a ceremony inside the Chateau Rive (a leftover idea from when their ceremony was going to be in the winter), and I am so happy that I got to be a part of their beautiful day. I hope these pictures, and all the love they represent, are at least partly sufficient in showing of such a beautiful day. Big thanks to Jaime Johnson Events for being such a great wedding planner.
Read MoreAndy and Malissa are an amazing couple. In this case, it was an interesting experience for me because I first met them in 2019 for their engagement photos. I met their family, and we had a great time. Then 2020 happened, and I ended up not seeing them for almost two years. But those amazing smiles, friendly kind attitudes and all that is amazing about these two remained the same - the biggest difference being how old their kids were. What a beautiful wedding we had at the Coeur d’Alene Resort, and even with the smoke, we managed to make something i’m very happy with. What an incredible day, location, and couple.
Read MoreJeff and Alicia had a beautiful wedding at Talus Rock in Sandpoint, and while I only covered this one for a small period of time, it was absolutely beautiful. I love being there for the small weddings just as much as I love the big ones. Getting to meet all the people, and in Jeff and Alicia’s case, their beautiful daughter, is always so much fun for me. I hope you guys love these photos of their beautiful day.
Read MoreBrady and Neale are two people who got hit with the 2020 cancelations and reschedules. However, unlike many people, they also didn’t let that slow them down. They went and got married in 2020 and seem all the better for it. However they still had their wedding date floating out there in 2021, so they made some changes (smaller guest list, no ceremony, slightly different venue, etc) and so instead of a big wedding we had a small wedding reception at the Coeur d’Alene Resort. I won’t retreat what I talked about during their engagement shoot, but being here and watching these two be as happy as they are was a huge honor. Two quality humans saying they love each other, and want to be with each other forever is an amazing thing. This blog is a little different than most, no ceremony and all, but i’m so happy I get to share these memories with you.
