I feel like sometimes I’m a record on repeat. Because each time I get to see the same couple again, or the same family, I reflect on how great it is to see them. But it’s hard not to say it, because it’s so true. It’s an incredible honor to be asked to be at someones engagement, or their wedding, but in my mind I feel like that honor increases each year you see a family, each year those little kids grow into bigger kids. To watch a family grow, not just in size but also number, is something I absolutely love. That is 100% true of the Slovarp family.

That said, Hunter told me that when he first saw her she caught his eye right away, and it became his mission to find a way to talk to her. Becca, for her part, also noticed the "cute red head" right away. The question wasn't "will they get together" but it was more "WHEN will they get together?"
Read MoreThey met on Match.com. Just like so many couples these days, they met online (I would say about 75% of my couples met online in some form), and they hit it off. Both Josh and Nikki told me that their earlier chatting online and over text felt real - it wasn't superficial. It seemed like both of them actually cared, and wanted to have something real. So when I had the opportunity to head out to Walla Walla to capture them in another big life moment - the maternity photos of their first born, I was excited. Not only because these two are awesome - because they are - but also because I was looking forward to seeing the Palouse and wine country. CJ and Caitlin are so easy to get along with, talk to, and photograph, our time went by very quickly. But am I excited to share with you the photos! I hope you love them!

There are a lot of factors that separate them; style, knowledge, desire, jobs and talent. Everyone’s journey through that market, and where people stop has so many factors you can’t point to one. I have friends that loved photography and just lost interest, or got burnt out, or didn’t like the “business” side of things. A successful photographer often doesn’t just have one factor (such as a desire to take photos) but has multiple factors that contribute to their success,
