They met online, using an app called Hinge. I asked Jasmine what the difference was between things like Bumble and Tinder, and she said that Hinge had more in depth questions on the profile's, meaning you could see more about what that person wanted, and who they were, than you could on the other apps. The thing was, when both Si and Jasmine got in the app, they had terrible luck. No good matches, no good people (at least, for them).
Read MoreThey met at a BBQ. Hunter said he noticed her basically right away - because she was hot. Jess was in a similar place, noticing his blond hair and blue eyes and thinking "oh, this is the guy for me" - as Jess is a sucker for blond hair blue eyes. Either way, they may have noticed each other, but they certainly didn't talk. Jess had a friend that went with her, who then promptly left her with a full bottle of wine but no one else except the one guy who was hitting on her a little TOO strongly. Now they didn't really it off right away, but there was a point when Hunter realized that Jess needed a little bit of space from said person, so he kind of wedged his way in there and started talking to her instead. Really, at this point I could say "the rest is history" because from then on they would talk - all the time.
Read MoreCord and Christy have been in the same circle for a long time, but they never really spoke. Cord was a friend of her brother in law (Shout out to the Hess's, one of the first weddings I ever had the privilege to shoot!) and so he was always "around" but Christy was often a little more focused on the other things going on to notice him. That changed one day when Christy's car broke down. She knew Cord was good with vehicles, so she asked Jon if he would ask him if he would help. He did, and in doing so it opened up the conversations. Cord told me he wasn't interested in Christy at the beginning because "he didn’t' have a chance" so he never even considered it.
Read MoreIt's interesting, for Kory and Jackey their story really started out because of networking. Kory was looking to network with as many people as he could, so he added Jackey as a friend. Truthfully, that was it. They had some mutual friends because they went to the same gym. Fast forward about a year and Kory started to notice this friend of his - who he had never really talked to. She was beautiful. So he messaged her, asked her if she wanted to go out.
Read MoreThey met on Tinder. It's amazing to me actually how often I hear that statement these days. Tinder, and dating apps like it, are probably the number one way people are meeting and starting real relationships these days. Robert and Kate are one of those couples. It only took a couple days of being "matched" that Robert had convinced Kate to go do a hike with him. This hike was in a "very popular place" down in the Phoenix area and so Kate felt safe.
Read MoreThey met in high school. They didn't go to the same school but they were on the same track team - or something like that. I asked them what they remembered about their first impression of each other, and for Jesse, it was simple "she's pretty". This is similar to the first thought I had of my wife, so I can relate to that. Anyway, Nicole wasn't too far off, thinking Jesse was "cute". The thing is, they would immediately start flirting. At the time, neither one was in a relationship and Jesse would start hitting on Nicole by telling her jokes. He figured, as long as she was laughing, things were going well.
