Priest Lake Wedding: Paul and Lela

As the wedding season gets closer and closer to fall, the risk of rain or bad weather increases dramatically. Often times, when we get rained on at a wedding, it’s only briefly, or it’s a really light rain. Things we can easily work around. Only a couple times have I ever been so limited by the rain that I couldn’t go outside at all. Only a couple times has it been so bad that going outside to take some wedding portraits would mean the couple also getting soaked. This was one of those days. The rain wasn’t so bad in the morning, and it looked like we may get lucky during the first look (it was very light) but mid portraits the rain moved from “light” to “very heavy” and my gear really started to get tested (including the couple umbrella’s I brought).

Wedding in Spokane: Jaron & Paige

Jaron & Paige are two people that had to move their wedding for 2020 to 2021. They ended up with a beautiful - and rainy - wedding day filled with friends, beautiful moments, and an awesome location. Jaron and Paige are two people i’ve really enjoyed getting to know, not just during their engagement session but also at their wedding. Them and their new family of four is something that is so beautiful, and I love that I had the chance to be there to capture them, to capture and photograph these memories that they’ll be able to share for many years to come.

CDA Photographers: Zach and Abbie's Montana Wedding

Zach and Abbie are two quality humans. They are one of the (many) couples whom had a wedding in 2020 and moved their wedding to 2021. They are also notable for changing some big things about their wedding (such as where it was). But one thing that is true about their wedding, the friends and family that came out to Montana to celebrate with them, the long wait between engagement to marriage, didn’t slow these two down. They were clearly in love the day I met them, and the day we did their engagement photos, and almost two years later that love had only grown. Zach and Abbie are just thoughtful people, and I saw that not just in the way they treated their friends and family, but the way they treated me. It was such a privilege to be out in Montana to celebrate with them, and capture these memories. I hope you love them as much as I do.

CDA Resort Wedding Reception: Pierre & Molly

I still remember the first time I met Pierre and Molly. Pierre was wearing a Gonzaga hat, and we had both just got done watching the Zags play in the tournament. I remember his infectious smile, energy, and excitement. That conversation was a lot of fun with them, from the laughs we shared, to the conversation we had, I was excited to be there on their wedding day - I was excited they chose me. In their case they had some pretty unique situations happen, not just 2020, but they had planned on having their ceremony up in Canada, so it meant I wasn’t going to be able to be there for that. What I did get to do was be there for their reception in Coeur d’Alene, where Molly was from, and capture them enjoying their wedding reception with all their friends and family. What an incredible day we had. From great weather, to incredible people, I absolutely loved meting their friends and family, and i’m so excited to be able to share some of the photos I captured on that day. I hope you guys love them, I know I enjoyed taking them.

Bridal Portraits: Nick & Lourdes

The first time they meaningfully met was when they worked together in the Deli at a Yokes grocery store. I hear it's the hardest job in the entire grocery store. Anyway, Nick and Lourdes didn't hit it off right away, they did become friends though and really enjoyed working together. Lourdes told me that the first thing she thought about nick was that he was "kind of nerdy" which after talking with Nick, is actually a true sentiment. Anyway, these two become friends, and after about six months into their friendship they found themselves working a lot more shifts together. Lourdes eventually would catch Nick's eye and he would start to make moves - not that Lourdes really noticed.
