So every year I take pictures of my family. Not just the four of us (five, if you count our dog) but my parents, brothers and sisters and all the people that come with them. It is normally one of the hardest shoots i’ll do every year, because no one has a hard time complaining to their brother. This year, luckily it all went very smoothly (minus a brief moment my own children decided it was a good time to have a breakdown). I hope you love the photos!
Read MoreIt was more than eight years ago that I first met the Hartzog family as I was getting ready to shoot Waylon and Arionne’s wedding. Since then i’ve had the privilege of being there for many other family photos, and it’s such a privilege they think of me every time they come in town. This family is a fun one, quick to laugh, easy to joke with, and just great to talk to. So this particular photo shoot, at the top of a mountain looking over the river and mountains near Sandpoint was a lot of fun for me. Beautiful spot, great people - all I could hope for.
Read MoreFrom the beginning, Ted and Sara are two people I have genuinely enjoyed getting to know. From our snow covered hike for their engagement photos, to one of the most unique moments i’ve ever experienced at a wedding, Ted and Sara have been a joy. Something i’m sure is no new news to you. But for me, as I have gotten to know them, their family and friends, see their passions and likes, it has truly been something I have enjoyed. I will always think fondly on the sunset session we did, where the Lilac Parade was about to start downtown Spokane and we were walking down the middle of the road - An empty road surrounded by people cheering our Air Force pilot. So many good moments, laughs, smiles and people, and i’m so excited that I get to share a glimpse of those moments with. you.
Read MoreAbout 16 years ago I was trying to figure out how to pay for college. It was confusing, and I didn’t have a lot of help except for the financial aid person at the school I was trying to go to (Multnomah University). Now, if you know me, you know i’m not a particularly shy person so when I had a question I would call Mary up. This was so frequent she eventually had my number memorized, and would answer the phone with “hello Brent…” - good times.
Read MoreI met Dylan and Sydney the day of their wedding. A day that was supposed to be sunny, turned into a very cloudy, very wet day. The amazing thing about these two though is that they never got down about the rain (which was coming down very hard) or even seemed to let it phase them. They had fun, talked with their friends and family, and once the rain let up, we went out again and started their ceremony. It was beautiful, simple, and a lot of fun. I’m excited to share these with you guys, and so thankful that I was able to be a part of it all.
Read MoreIf you read Noah and Amanda’s engagement blog, it shouldn’t’ be a secret that i’m a fan of these two. They are kind thoughtful, and clearly love each other. But there’s more than that, it’s their families and friends, it’s the people they choose to surround themselves with that makes these two so magnetic, so likable. So being able to be there at their incredible Spring wedding at the Montvale Event Center, downtown Spokane, was something I absolutely loved. From the little moments to the big ones. There was life, beauty, laughter, and so many great chances to take great photos. I hope you love them as much as I do!
