Spokane Engagement Photographer: Zach & Abbie's Fall-Winter Engagement

Zach and Abbie are two people I highly enjoy. It seems every time i’ve seen them (this shoot would be the third) we spend most of our time laughing. They are kind, energetic, and so fun to talk to. I loved hearing the story of how they met (in the hospital) and even though Zach thought things were going super well, Abbie was not on the same page. In fact, it was only because Zach thought she was into him, that they went on a trip to Montana - where she actually started liking him. They clearly love each other, and I had so much fun watching them interact. Their engagement photos, taken on Tubbs Hill, in Coeur d’Alene, were unique in that we had snow, and fall colors. What a unique October we have had.

Spokane Engagement Photographer: Sam & Shea's Engagement Photos

Sam and Shea knew about each other way before they ever really got to know each other. Their friends were friends. The first time they ever really talked Shea was having a party at her house, and Sam's roommate was going, so he invited Sam. Sam had known about Shea through various stories (some involving garage doors) and decided to go - he wasn't doing anything anyway.

Coeur d'Alene Engagement Photographer: Damian & Izzie's Forest Lake Engagement

They met online, as many people do these days. Although, it wasn't the normal way. It wasn't on Match.com, or Tinder, or anything like that. It was on a forum (basically). Izzie had replied to something Damian had said, and that sparked a conversation. Well, that went for a little while and interest was stirred. They both quickly realized that they both have a lot of interests in common, from their love of cars, to even religion, things seemed to just - work.

Engagement Photographer: Alex and Kayla's North Idaho Engagement

They met in high school. They had some mutual friends, and Alex just showed up at Kayla's house one day. I asked them if either of them were interested from the start, but that didn't happen. But neither of them were repelled by each other either. In fact, they became friends! I tried to understand when the thought process between "oh we're good friends" changed to "oh, I want to date this person" and for both of them, it was a couple months after they met. They had been hanging out every day, and so their friends could see it coming, but eventually they realized they liked each other.

Spokane Photographers: Mitch & Serena's Morning Lakeside Engagement

They met 14 some years ago. They worked together at Wal-Mart, and the first time Mitch saw Serena, he actually walked his cart straight into some merchandise. She was that beautiful. Over the course of several years, they would become friends and then date. They would develop a connection and a deep friendship. - Then they broke up.

Spokane Photographer: Incredible Sunset Mountaintop Engagement

So going up to the mountains isn’t always easy, but so often it’s increidbly rewarding. So when Johnny and Shayla asked to go on a drive to one of their favorite places for their engagement photos, I was pumped. We drove along a beautiful river in the canyon, and made our way up along the mountain side. Then I saw it, an incredible spot that was NOT where we planned to go, but it was such an awesome opportunity.
