CDA Photographers: Jonah & Liz's Tubbs Hill Engagement

They met in the year 2020. This means they weren't working, as it was March of 2020. In their case, Liz had some friends who were roommates with Jonah, so when the lockdowns started to happen she went over to his house as they were going to isolate together. Jonah's first impression of Liz was how pretty she looked - Liz's first memory of Jonah was that the had made his own gluten free beer, and it wasn't very good. Nothing says a future wedding like bad beer I guess!

Engagement Photography: Cody & Melissa's Post Falls Engagement

They first met at Walmart. But that's not really where their story begins, as the first time they were put in contact was over the app "Lots of Fish" or something like that. Cody messaged Melissa something along they lines of "hey" - something Melissa would not normally respond to. But after looking at his profile, she did. They would chat for about a week before he would call her. The calling would happen more frequently, and more often, over the weeks until about a month after they met, Melissa said she wanted to meet Cody.

North Idaho Engagement: Cody & Lauryn's Lake Engagement

Technically Cody and Lauryn met in junior high. They even "dated" then. Cody had his hair like Justin Bieber which Lauryn really liked, but when he cut it - it was over for her. They broke up, which Cody was not very happy about. Just like with any junior high relationship, they moved on, each of them would continue going to school together, but have different boy friends and girlfriends. This was true all the way up to their senior year when Cody and Lauryn would be voted as the two people with the "coolest trucks".

Engagement Photographers: Noah and Amanda

Noah and Amanda are two people with some magnetic personalities. They are two people that are just fun to be with, to talk to. This must have been what their parents thought too when they kept saying to their kids "you should meet Amanda!" (or Noah, in Amanda's case). So, one day, after church, they met. It was a "Oh hey! I'm Noah" kind of deal. And that was it. I asked Noah what he thought when he first met Amanda, and he said something along the lines of "Wow! She's beautiful! Normally when Mom's try to set you up, there's something that doesn't click, but that wasn't the case here".

Coeur d’Alene Engagements: Josh & Solina’s Tubbs Hill Winter Engagement

Josh and Solina have an energy about them. It’s something that is translated so well during our engagement shoot. They were easy to talk to, quick to laugh, and game for anything (even if the drop was terrifying Solina). Getting to know them was a joy, learning how they met (online) and how Josh didn’t let their first date be at a (good) but not-nice-enough place like a Mexican restaurant really impressed Solina.

Coeur d’Alene Wedding Photographer: Brandt & Shayna’s Rainy Winter Engagement

The first time these two "met" was when Brandt was riding a chariot (home made and pulled by his roomamte) across a football field. I had to put "met" in quotes, because it wasn't all that much of a true meeting. They started to know of each other's existence is perhaps a better way to put it. Brandt would ask his friend to tell Shayna hello, and they would try and flirt through said friend until she said "talk to her yourself!" and they would start talking over Snapchat.
