Best Photographer 2020 - Thank You!

About a month ago I got a phone call. The kind person on the other end told me that you guys voted me the best photographer in the area. I haven’t been able to share this information until recently, and i’m so pumped to be able to share it with you now. Last year was something special, and it was each one of you wonderful people that made it that way.

Year in Review - The 2018 Wedding Season

Yeah, you read that right, i’m publishing a 2018 wedding season review in 2020. Nice. What the heck is happening here, you may ask? It’s a good question. The thing is, 2019 is a beast in it’s own right, and I can’t wait to share the photos I took last year with you. Because 2019 was such a blessing, and had so many weddings I never had the chance to post this one in 2019. So I wanted to share the photos I took from 2018, because that was an awesome year, with incredible moments, and beautiful locations, and amazing couples. So here is a very small selection of my favorite photos from 2018.

Spokane Photographer: Dave & Melissa's Beautiful Davenport Wedding

Dave and Melissa are two people that are charismatic, loving, kind, and so fun to talk to. Going into their wedding day I hadn’t met either of them, and over the course of the day, getting to know them, talking with them, watching them laugh and joke was a huge privilege. So often we get to see what people are like, what makes them ‘tick” when you see them with their friends and family, and I believe this is true. The thing is, Dave and Melissa have some amazing friends and family, people we also enjoyed talking with and getting to know. Their beautiful Catholic wedding in Post Falls, ID followed by their incredible reception at the Davenport Hotel downtown Spokane was something i’ll remember for a long time. I’m excited to share these photos with you, and hope you also love them. :)

Wedding Photographer: Travis & Jenna's Beautiful Oregon Wedding

Ever since I started doing photography, i’ve had the opportunity to photograph my friends. Sometimes it’s just us having fun, other times it’s at incredible events - such as a wedding. In this case, I had the chance to photograph one of my very oldest friends - someone i’ve known for around 22 years. Him and his incredible wife had me come out to Oregon to capture their beautiful day, up in the hills outside Portland. There was so much to love about the wedding, from the incredible vibrant greens, the forest, the people, the family, the friends.

Spokane Photographers: Johnny & Shayla's North Idaho Winter Wedding

Johnny and Shayla had a beautiful wedding in the mountains in the panhandle of North Idaho this last January. The snow was deep (so, so deep) and the snowstorm didn’t really let up all day. If you’re looking for winter wedding photos, this is an easy, one-stop shop. I know Shayla had been hoping for snow, and she had prepared, with full winter boots and a determination to go wherever we thought would look awesome - and i’m super pumped with how it turned out. Their wedding was beautiful, unique, and filled with great moments. I distinctly remember watching Johnny dancing with his son toward the end of the night, big smile on his face, and thinking “this is awesome, what a great memory”. It’s times like this, where joy is so apparent, that I love my job. I’m pumped to share these incredible winter wedding photos with you, and hope you love them.

Coeur d'Alene Wedding Photographer: Ryan & Sarah's CDA Resort Wedding

Ryan & Sarah are some pretty amazing people. From how they met (Ryan bought her coffee for her, then they talked for hours) to the song they walked into are all so unique. They are kind and thoughtful, and I loved how their friends and family all interacted. The whole day was beautiful - and it wasn't just the sunset. They danced the night away (but seriously, so much great dancing) and it was one of those weddings I found myself sitting back and thinking “wow, what a great group of people”. You don’t need to look any further than their engaging smiles, and love for each other. I’m glad I can be the one to share these photos with you. They were so much fun to take, and relive.
