Michael and Preston had such an incredible, snowy, winter wedding. It wasn’t just amazing because of their kind and loving families, or because the sun was out (but it was still cold enough to keep the snow nice and fluffy), or because we actually had snow - but because the couple made the night. I don’t think i’ve ever had a bride tough the cold so well, and for so long. Preston wanted winter wedding photos, and she got them! She only had to hide under her (very beautiful) fur coat at the very end of our portraits. But here’s the thing, I don’t remember this wedding just because of it’s great portraits, I remember it for the friends they had, the laughter they brought, and of course the great dancing. I am so excited that I get to share this incredible wedding, and I hope you love the photos, the moments, that I feature here.
Read MoreRay and Erin’s downtown Spokane wedding in mid November was absolutely beautiful. We had the privilege of being in the excellent McGinnity Room, with their beautiful urban settings, warm lights and beautiful windows, it had a great classic feel. Ray and Erin are two people I didn’t have the chance of photographing engagement photos before hand, so their wedding day was when I had the chance to meet them in person for the first time. What a privilege that was! Both of them are so kind, and I really enjoyed getting to know their friends and family. That is something that can easily be said about these two, they have a lot of friends, and it made their day full with laughter and great moments. I hope you love these photos, I sure enjoyed taking them.

Read MoreSteve and Taunya had an incredible wedding. From the way Steve looked at Taunya at the first look, to the beautiful fall colors, there was such great emotion and love. I loved listening to them work through their vows, and spend time with their family. In a year where people were still struggling for normalcy with Covid, these two found the time to say “I love you” and I am so happy I was able to be there to watch it all. I hope you love the photos, don’t forget to watch the photo story (it has their audio! Don’t miss it!) and I hope it lets you experience even a little of the magic of their wedding day. Also, sorry i’m not sorry about the number of sunset photos, I couldn’t choose.
Read MoreBede and Angie had a huge focus for their wedding - the people. They wanted to spend a lot of time with their friends and family, whether that was dancing on the dance floor or sitting by the fire, it was about sharing their biggest day with their best friends. The location - By The Lake Venue - was great for this, where their friends and family could all arrive by boat to their wedding, and spend time just hanging out. I really enjoyed these two, getting to know them, their family, their friends, and i’m so excited that I get the chance to share these photos, these moments, these memories with you all for the first time.
Read MoreAs the wedding season gets closer and closer to fall, the risk of rain or bad weather increases dramatically. Often times, when we get rained on at a wedding, it’s only briefly, or it’s a really light rain. Things we can easily work around. Only a couple times have I ever been so limited by the rain that I couldn’t go outside at all. Only a couple times has it been so bad that going outside to take some wedding portraits would mean the couple also getting soaked. This was one of those days. The rain wasn’t so bad in the morning, and it looked like we may get lucky during the first look (it was very light) but mid portraits the rain moved from “light” to “very heavy” and my gear really started to get tested (including the couple umbrella’s I brought).
