It was a couple years ago I was photographing a wedding up on a mountain near Sandpoint Idaho (shout out to Sam and Shay!) when I met Jake and Allie. They were kind, thoughtful, quick to help, and had only recently been married (if I remember right no more than a year, but I’m not super sure). Anyway, the point is I really enjoyed their company, so when Allie reached out to me to see if I would photograph her growing family, I was excited! Not only do I enjoy talking with them, but any chance you get to capture a moment in a young family’s growth is huge. Kids change so fast, and being able to photograph them, capture them as they are is always so valuable. So here’s the Hubble family, I hope you love them as much as I loved taking them!
Read MoreStephanie is someone I've never really known but always knew existed. What I mean by that is her (much) older brother and I went to school together in high school. He's my friend. We played basketball together. I had the privilege of photographing his wedding (shout out to Tony and Stephanie!) and while I always knew he had a much younger sister, when you're in high school and someone has a three year old baby sister you don't really think much of it. But now that three year old sister is getting married and they thought of me to photograph their wedding and I'm pumped for it! But one thing I loved about this engagement shoot was hearing how these two amazing people met.
Read MoreChris and Lea have a certain magnetism about them. You see it in the way they dance, the way their friends smile and have a good time (look no further than the dance photos in this blog). You see it in the way Chris looked at Lea during the first look (dude… what an amazing first look). You even see it in how they handle adversity (ask Lea about how she got her dress, or how the month before the wedding went), but man these two roll with the punches and say “what’s next”. They were so fun to be with on their wedding day, so fun to capture, so fun to get to know. They are two people that love each other, and I’m so excited I was chosen to be able to be there to capture that love. It was such an honor. I hope you love these wedding photos, the views of Lewiston, and all those incredible moments that makes this Chris and Lea’s wedding.
Read MoreThe Demello family is beautiful - Not just on the outside but on the inside. I absolutely loved getting to know them, their children, and watching them interact. It truly is one of my favorite things, watching families be families. Their kids were so energetic and quick to smile, willing to have fun and get wet (maybe too wet!) But man we had fun for sure. And what an awesome spot we got to do it too, with Coeur d’Alene Lake in the background, while also capturing some of the natural beauty and trees in our area. I am honored to be able to share some of these family photos with you, I hope you love them!
Read MoreA little more than a year ago I had the huge privilege of taking pictures of an amazing couple at Settlers Creek. Clint and Melissa are two people who had an incredible wedding, with some great laughs, amazing people, and an awesome sunset. Fast forward some nine months and I get an email from Melissa telling me that her and Clint are expecting a baby, and they want me to capture not just their maternity photos - but also some family photos once the little one is born. So amazing! What an honor it is to be there for the engagement, the wedding, and now the beginning of a beautiful family.
Read MoreCord and Christy have been in the same circle for a long time, but they never really spoke. Cord was a friend of her brother in law (Shout out to the Hess's, one of the first weddings I ever had the privilege to shoot!) and so he was always "around" but Christy was often a little more focused on the other things going on to notice him. That changed one day when Christy's car broke down. She knew Cord was good with vehicles, so she asked Jon if he would ask him if he would help. He did, and in doing so it opened up the conversations. Cord told me he wasn't interested in Christy at the beginning because "he didn’t' have a chance" so he never even considered it.
