Gabe and Bethany are two amazing people. I’ve known Gabe for several years as I had the privilege of photographing his sisters wedding, and then his younger brothers wedding. Similarly, i’ve loved working with him over the years at other various events and weddings as he has been a key factor in how great Settlers Creek is. To be frank, there’s nothing not to like about Gabe - he’s kind, well spoken and caring. Bethany, whom I haven’t know for as long, is an amazing match. She has always been so considerate and hard working, and her smile is genuine and thoughtful. I have enjoyed every conversation i’ve had with her. Over the last couple years I have gotten to know her and her family at church, and it has only reinforced these opinions of her. So being able to be there when these two people have said “I want you and no other” has been such a privilege for me.
Read MoreJefthe and Chantilly are some truly amazing people - kind, generous and with such a kind spirit. Before photographing their wedding, I had not known them (although some amazing people I know did, such as my incredible wife) but over the course of their engagement photos and several meetings, I have grown to know them more.

He was someone I always enjoyed working with, he was easy to talk to, relatable, kind, hard working (one of the most important factors to having a good coworker). We even went snowboarding together once (we both ended up leaving pretty sore, if I remember correctly, as we both hit a jump a little too hard, a little too fast).

In the midst of the rain and clouds was an area that was gorgeous with green and blue, something that was so obvious to me I added a couple photos of the surrounding area. The couple was so much fun, and while rain often causes distress on wedding days, it didn’t phase either of them. I love photographing weddings, from Spokane to Coeur d’Alene, but Priest Lake and Elkins Resort is always something special.

Read MoreStephen and Juliann had a wedding that was incredibly beautiful. I had the privilege of flying down to Houston Texas for their wedding this last March, and several things stuck out to me. One, it's really flat in Texas (I knew this, but it's one thing to know, and another to experience), and two, it's a lot warmer (and greener) in Texas in March than it is up in North Idaho. Now, both of these things probably seem like they are obvious, but what can I say? The last thing that I got to learn while there came to me a little later in my trip - I really love the people.
