A couple years ago I had the chance to finally meet the Lanterman family. They were guests at a wedding I was photographing and It was great to finally meet them (we had mutual friends, but I had never actually met them). I asked them if I could take a picture of their beautiful family and they told me later that they printed that photo out and hung it in their house. Such an honor to be able to capture something like that, something that doesn't take much time, but is infinitely valuable as your kids grow up and life moves on. So when they asked me to come out and get some more pictures of their family (plus some of their extended family), I was so excited. Jackson and Becky are just great people, kind, thoughtful, and fun to talk to. I’m so happy I could capture their now family of 5, and keep those priceless memories on their walls.
Read MoreThe first time they met they worked together. Alex didn’t' work the same shifts and Krystal, and so they didn’t actually see each other very much. Now you may not know this about Krystal, but she loves to talk to people and say hi to everyone. So when she said "hi" to alex as they passed each other on the shift change, he didn't really respond. He wasn't trying to be rude, he just didn't respond with the same energy that she had.
Read MoreI met Brian and Caitlin for the first time during this shoot. One thing was obvious right away, this beautiful family is kind, quick to smile, and so easy to get along with. Brian and Caitlin recently had their first child (Gideon) and while he spent some of the time staring me down, he’s also got an absolutely beautiful smile. What an honor it was for me to be able to photograph this new family of three, and i’m so excited to share these family photos with you!
Read MoreThey met when they were young teenagers. Jaron told me that when Paige moved into his neighborhood all the guys were talking about her. "she was smoking hot." Jaron told me. It wasn't vague either, he clearly remembered her, and his first meeting with her. Paige, for her part, remembered a super happy go lucky guy with long curly red hair. They liked each other. They spent time together, but, as 13 and 14 year old's do, they lost contact when one of them moved away.
Read MoreGabe and Kathryn had an incredible day. From their beautiful ceremony downtown Spokane at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes to their incredible reception at the beautiful Beacon Hill. Their wedding party was kind and willing to have an amazing time, but also so helpful and kind - the best kind of wedding party. Gabe and Kathryn are two beautiful people inside and out and spending the day with them was a blast. I had such an incredibly hard time getting these photos down to a reasonable number for the blog, and I don't know if I even did a good job. So you’ll have to deal with it! Either way, i’m pumped to share this Beacon Hill wedding with you, and I hope you enjoy ever moment as I did.
Read MoreBrayden and Aeva have such a cool story. They are also some amazing people. There is an energy around them, with so many great smiles, easy laughs, and a natural way of just being themselves. I don't know when that started but I wouldn't be surprised to hear it happened when they were in high school - when they first met. You see, Brayden transferred to Aeva's school (Gonzaga Prep) when he was going to be a senior. Turns out, Aeva and him both lived in Coeur d'Alene at the time and were some of the only people driving from CDA for school. So it didn't take long before these two started to carpool together to school. They would become friends - best friends. In the winter they found out that both of them loved to Ski, and would head up to Schweitzer with their group of friends - they of course would ride together (coming from Coeur d'Alene as they were).
