Sport and Erika are two kind and gentle souls. You can see it in the way they speak to you and those around them, the way they look at you, and the small details they clearly care so much about. You can see it in how they treated their guests, and how they look at each other when they dance. It’s things like this that I absolutely love when shooting a wedding, genuine, full, real, kind emotion. These two love each other and it’s painted all over their faces. I hope you love this selection of photos from their beautiful wedding day at Settlers Creek. Incredible couple, incredible venue, incredible wedding.
Read MoreThey met at a BBQ. Hunter said he noticed her basically right away - because she was hot. Jess was in a similar place, noticing his blond hair and blue eyes and thinking "oh, this is the guy for me" - as Jess is a sucker for blond hair blue eyes. Either way, they may have noticed each other, but they certainly didn't talk. Jess had a friend that went with her, who then promptly left her with a full bottle of wine but no one else except the one guy who was hitting on her a little TOO strongly. Now they didn't really it off right away, but there was a point when Hunter realized that Jess needed a little bit of space from said person, so he kind of wedged his way in there and started talking to her instead. Really, at this point I could say "the rest is history" because from then on they would talk - all the time.
Read MoreThe Demello family is beautiful - Not just on the outside but on the inside. I absolutely loved getting to know them, their children, and watching them interact. It truly is one of my favorite things, watching families be families. Their kids were so energetic and quick to smile, willing to have fun and get wet (maybe too wet!) But man we had fun for sure. And what an awesome spot we got to do it too, with Coeur d’Alene Lake in the background, while also capturing some of the natural beauty and trees in our area. I am honored to be able to share some of these family photos with you, I hope you love them!
Read MoreRobert and Kate’s wedding was incredible. If you find yourself looking through these photos and think you see lightning and a rainbow at sunset, you’re not imagining things, that really happened. But it really just reflects on who they are as people. Both are warm, and kind, but ready to party and have a good time. I loved getting to know these two, watch them interact, and have just an awesome time, and I am so excited that I get to share these wedding photos with you.
Read MoreA little more than a year ago I had the huge privilege of taking pictures of an amazing couple at Settlers Creek. Clint and Melissa are two people who had an incredible wedding, with some great laughs, amazing people, and an awesome sunset. Fast forward some nine months and I get an email from Melissa telling me that her and Clint are expecting a baby, and they want me to capture not just their maternity photos - but also some family photos once the little one is born. So amazing! What an honor it is to be there for the engagement, the wedding, and now the beginning of a beautiful family.
Read MoreCord and Christy have been in the same circle for a long time, but they never really spoke. Cord was a friend of her brother in law (Shout out to the Hess's, one of the first weddings I ever had the privilege to shoot!) and so he was always "around" but Christy was often a little more focused on the other things going on to notice him. That changed one day when Christy's car broke down. She knew Cord was good with vehicles, so she asked Jon if he would ask him if he would help. He did, and in doing so it opened up the conversations. Cord told me he wasn't interested in Christy at the beginning because "he didn’t' have a chance" so he never even considered it.
