North Idaho Wedding: Dmitry & Veronica’s Beyond Hope Resort Wedding

Dmitry and Veronica are two people I enjoyed talking to every since I first met them at the coffee shop. They are quick to smile, easy to laugh with, but also so kind and genuine. There were multiple times on their wedding day that I noticed them thinking of people that are so often forgotten - and it is amazing. Their wedding was beautiful as well (and not just because they had incredibly great friends who also happen to be incredibly beautiful), taking place just north east of Sandpoint at Beyond Hope Resort. It’s a beautiful space that shows off the lake and the mountains in such a cool way. Not to mention being such a great place for the many friends that came to Dmitry and Veronica’s wedding from out of state. In the end, their wedding was beautiful, and I’m so excited to be sharing with you these photos!

CDA Family Photographers: The Kernodle Family

I only met the Kernodle family last year when I had the chance to do their family photos. But since then I’ve seen them more than once and every time it’s the same - two people who are kind, thoughtful, easy to talk to and quick to laugh. So I was very much looking forward to capturing their family - always such an honor to be asked again - and I’m SO excited to be able to share these with you! This wasn’t a long photo shoot, but I am sure happy with what we got. I hope you love them!

Spokane Wedding Photographers: Robert & Nicole’s Historic Davenport Wedding

If you’re wondering what a wedding can look like on a rainy day in September look no further. Well, really we had a good mix of smoke, rain, and sun (sunset WAS a thing!) Robert and Nicole had it all, from some incredible emotional moments (such as when Nicole’s mom was doing up her dress, or they were saying their vows, or even when all her sorority girls did their chant) to some really fun and engaging ones. There was laughter, tears, and a whole lot of great dancing. In short, their wedding was amazing, and I have no doubt it’s not just because they are two amazing people, who are kind, thoughtful, and so quick to smile. I really have enjoyed getting to know these two, and I absolutely loved being there for their wedding.

CDA Family Photography: The Cheung Family

Associate photographer Dan was able to spend some time with the Cheung family to capture great moments of them, so I think I should leave it to him to write about that experience. This is what Dan had to say: I had the fantastic privilege of meeting the Cheung family, and experiencing firsthand what makes them standout as such an incredible bunch! David & Tanya, along with their two boys Timothy and Oliver, have such a wonderful warmth and openness the moment I met them. David’s father Tim (visiting them from Toronto, Canada) had many great family stories to tell and expressed such a special bond with his grandkids that was wonderfully evident during our photo shoot. Young Timothy could barely contain himself, as his adventurous spirit desired nothing more than to get in the lake and find every large rock he could. Recently new residents of Coeur d’Alene, you’ll meet very few families as kind & welcoming as the Cheung’s!

CDA Family Photos: The Slovarp Family

There is something amazing about being a photographer. It isn’t that we get to see beautiful places, or be an incredible moments - although I do love those things - rather it’s we get the chance to see families grow. I was there when Clint and Melissa were engaged, I had the chance to talk with them, laugh with them, share hiking stories and listen to how they got together. Then they were getting married (at Settlers Creek as well, which is such a beautiful place!) and I had the chance to be there when that relationship went from “let’s date” to “let’s be together forever”.

Spokane Wedding: Taylor & Jenna

Taylor and Jenna are two people I have enjoyed speaking with and spending time with from the first moment we met. They are kind, quick to smile, and genuine. I love their energy, their enthusiasm for life, and the kindness they show others. Being at their wedding, meeting their friends and family, was something I truly enjoyed, and I think the qualities they showed me come across so easily in their photos. I hope you love them as much as I enjoyed taking them!
