So going up to the mountains isn’t always easy, but so often it’s increidbly rewarding. So when Johnny and Shayla asked to go on a drive to one of their favorite places for their engagement photos, I was pumped. We drove along a beautiful river in the canyon, and made our way up along the mountain side. Then I saw it, an incredible spot that was NOT where we planned to go, but it was such an awesome opportunity.

Read MoreEllie is an amazing person. I met her about a year ago when I photographed her brothers wedding (which was beautiful) and her family only a couple months before that. They are amazing people. Ellie reflects that in her smile, her mannerisms, the way she talks. Every time I have the privilege of spending time with a Blomgren, it’s a positive one, and this case was no different. I loved every minute of it. Big thanks to the sunflower farm owner who let us use their field with permission, it was beautiful.
Read MoreI’ve had the huge privilege of knowing Landon for years. Not only have I known his family, but I also got to photograph his sisters senior photos several years ago. They are awesome. The whole family, mom, dad, and sister included. They have always been kind, loving, and considerate to those around them. If you know the Vergeer, it doesn’t surprise you that I would say this. Landon is all of these things. He’s a huge baseball player with an even larger heart, and getting to capture this time in his life was a huge blessing for me.

And on their wedding day, which took place at Mrs Kalin’s Barn in Green Bluff Washington, it was even more obvious. Why? Well, weddings are “All about the couple” but they just didn’t seem to be that way. Now, don’t get me wrong, the day was still certainly about them, but it didn’t feel that way. Their family was kind, their bridal party fun, and I enjoyed each part of the day, from their incredible portratis, the beautiful first dance. I’m so happy I get to share these wedding photos with you, these memories and moments that will last a lifetime.
