Seth and Brittney are two amazing people that grew up kind of far apart (Seth just outside of Bend, Brittney near the Tri-Cities… if I remember correctly) and so they didn't meet growing up, or in school or anything like that. They met like so many couples do these days - on Tinder. You see, Seth moved away from his home town as he was doing research with a PHD student, and when he saw Brittney's picture on Tinder, he did the obvious thing - he swiped right.
Read MoreEvery summer I get the chance to get outside - most of the time it’s because i’m at your wedding, or visiting with someone’s family, or whatever. But even more rarely I get to do some hiking because I WANT to, because I love to be outside, because I love my job so much that I want to do it when i’m not actually doing it. These photos are the result of me and some friends getting up and leaving at 2am to go on a hike so we could reach the top of this mountain in North Idaho before the sun rose over the horizon. We timed it perfectly and arrived during blue hour. There are perhaps more photos here than need to be, but I couldn’t help myself. Every moment was beautiful, and trying to capture what it’s like, sitting on the side of a hill as the very first rays of sun peek out over the mountains is something that’s hard to describe.
Read MoreJarrett and Meagan are two people that leave an impression. They are quick to smile, energetic, kind, and show their amazing personalities wherever they go. You see it in the way they act, laugh, and smile. You see it in the kinds of friends they keep, and the way they treat those around them. These two people are quality humans, and I had such an amazing time getting to know them and their friends and family. Their wedding was absolutely beautiful, from their first look to their dance party (which moved outside because it was much cooler). I love the fact I can share some of these photos with you and I hope you love each and every moment.
Read MoreI had the chance to meet the Reed family when I pulled up at their house the day of this shoot. They (and a bunch of other family members) and traveled up to Sandpoint Idaho to have a big family get together. This family is so beautiful. I couldn’t help but think about how family’s grow and each develop their own unique character as I was editing this photo. All this happened because two people fell in love. They had some kids who in turn fell in love and decided they wanted to bless the world with some amazing kids. I truly enjoyed my time with this large, beautiful family, and i’m so excited I get to share these photos with you.
Read MoreJarrod and Kelly had a beautiful wedding at Settlers Creek. The day, despite looking like it was going to rain at any given moment, was beautiful. It gave us soft tones and dramatic skies. Their wedding day had many beautiful moments, from the many laughs during their toasts to their first dance, each and every moment was amazing, and i’m so happy I get the chance to share those photos with you.
Read MoreA couple years ago I had the chance to finally meet the Lanterman family. They were guests at a wedding I was photographing and It was great to finally meet them (we had mutual friends, but I had never actually met them). I asked them if I could take a picture of their beautiful family and they told me later that they printed that photo out and hung it in their house. Such an honor to be able to capture something like that, something that doesn't take much time, but is infinitely valuable as your kids grow up and life moves on. So when they asked me to come out and get some more pictures of their family (plus some of their extended family), I was so excited. Jackson and Becky are just great people, kind, thoughtful, and fun to talk to. I’m so happy I could capture their now family of 5, and keep those priceless memories on their walls.
