The Roush family had the honor of doing family photos when it was about 15 degrees outside. Yes, it was quite cold. But, the benefit to that timing was we got some incredible, beautiful snow. Great winter outfits, and a lot of cold jokes. I truly enjoyed meeting this family, and i’m so excited I get to share the photos with you.
Read MoreBede and Angie had a huge focus for their wedding - the people. They wanted to spend a lot of time with their friends and family, whether that was dancing on the dance floor or sitting by the fire, it was about sharing their biggest day with their best friends. The location - By The Lake Venue - was great for this, where their friends and family could all arrive by boat to their wedding, and spend time just hanging out. I really enjoyed these two, getting to know them, their family, their friends, and i’m so excited that I get the chance to share these photos, these moments, these memories with you all for the first time.
Read MoreJack and Lauren are a couple of incredible people. I found this out when I had the chance to do their engagement photos. Since then I’ve had the chance to photograph their wedding, as well as anniversary photos. Read MoreAs the wedding season gets closer and closer to fall, the risk of rain or bad weather increases dramatically. Often times, when we get rained on at a wedding, it’s only briefly, or it’s a really light rain. Things we can easily work around. Only a couple times have I ever been so limited by the rain that I couldn’t go outside at all. Only a couple times has it been so bad that going outside to take some wedding portraits would mean the couple also getting soaked. This was one of those days. The rain wasn’t so bad in the morning, and it looked like we may get lucky during the first look (it was very light) but mid portraits the rain moved from “light” to “very heavy” and my gear really started to get tested (including the couple umbrella’s I brought).
Read MoreJaron & Paige are two people that had to move their wedding for 2020 to 2021. They ended up with a beautiful - and rainy - wedding day filled with friends, beautiful moments, and an awesome location. Jaron and Paige are two people i’ve really enjoyed getting to know, not just during their engagement session but also at their wedding. Them and their new family of four is something that is so beautiful, and I love that I had the chance to be there to capture them, to capture and photograph these memories that they’ll be able to share for many years to come.
Read MoreZach and Abbie are two quality humans. They are one of the (many) couples whom had a wedding in 2020 and moved their wedding to 2021. They are also notable for changing some big things about their wedding (such as where it was). But one thing that is true about their wedding, the friends and family that came out to Montana to celebrate with them, the long wait between engagement to marriage, didn’t slow these two down. They were clearly in love the day I met them, and the day we did their engagement photos, and almost two years later that love had only grown. Zach and Abbie are just thoughtful people, and I saw that not just in the way they treated their friends and family, but the way they treated me. It was such a privilege to be out in Montana to celebrate with them, and capture these memories. I hope you love them as much as I do.
