Early in 2021 my family, along with some of my brothers and parents went on a trip to Kauai, Hawaii. While there we relaxed, hiked, swam in the ocean, explored and went to Costco - all the normal things. Over the course of that week I took photos - a lot of photos. I know, you’re shocked. Believe it or not, I absolutely love taking pictures, not just for work, but for life. As I say elsewhere, photos have this unique ability to capture a moment, a memory, and I love doing that. I love putting those adventures up in my home, and sharing them with others. So you won’t find any wedding photos here (although there are some couple photos I got of some random (extremely awesome) people I met on a hike - and yes, I did send them the photos). I’ll split some of the photos up in days, and let you know a little what we did that day to give some context. But I hope you see a little bit more of my family here, and sorry I included so many landscape photos - or should I say i’m sorry i’m not sorry? That would probably be more accurate.
Read MoreThe first time they met was online. It wasn't in a dating app, or an app like Tinder, and it wasn't simply because the other thought the other one was cute. In this case, Megan was going to prom with Corey's best friend, so he followed her on Instagram (and she reciprocated). Their friendship wouldn't really be that (a friendship) for a while, they wouldn’t' talk. However after Megan got out of her relationship something sparked their interest and they started talking again on Social.
Read MoreThomas and Adrianna are married, not just when I took these pictures, but rather almost 12 years (11 years? somewhere around there) they got married. It all started when they met in jail - because they both worked there. But it led to marriage, a beautiful family and a couple that deeply loves each other. I had the privilege of going with them out on the boat where they got to renew their vows, and while the group was small and intimate, here are just a couple photos from my time with them. Ten years down, 70 more to go!
Read MoreVlad and Caitlyn have such a cool story. They met because Vlad started working at a horse riding school for special needs students (at least, if I remember right, that's what it was). Either way, horses were involved, and teaching. Well, one of those teachers was Caitlyn.
Read MoreJacob & Joanna’s wedding was amazing from start to finish. Like I said in my wedding blog about them, Jacob & Joanna are two beautiful people and I loved to get to know them. When I saw that Joanna sent me a super kind review I knew I had to share it. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this review! :)
Read MoreWhen I arrived to photograph the Fischer family I thought I was taking pictures of a family coming from out of town (which was true) and who’s extended family lived in this area. This isn’t a totally uncommon situation for me. But boy was a surprised that the Whitney I had been emailing was actually the Whitney I knew from back in high school! With her last name change it wasn’t something I was aware of, but what an awesome surprise it was to see some old friends at this shoot and get caught up. Here are some of my favorites from this beautiful family shoot.
