Technically Cody and Lauryn met in junior high. They even "dated" then. Cody had his hair like Justin Bieber which Lauryn really liked, but when he cut it - it was over for her. They broke up, which Cody was not very happy about. Just like with any junior high relationship, they moved on, each of them would continue going to school together, but have different boy friends and girlfriends. This was true all the way up to their senior year when Cody and Lauryn would be voted as the two people with the "coolest trucks".
Read MoreI’ve been taking photos professionally for over twelve years (woah!) now, and one of the things that has started to hit me more and more these days is how incredible it is to follow people and their lives. The Alegreto family is a great example of this, as I had the chance to photograph Arianna’s senior photos, and then I was able to photograph her sisters senior photos (and college grad photos!). All the while meeting the family and getting to know them. Then Arianna got married to an awesome dude named Carson, and I had the chance to do their engagement photos and wedding (which you can see here! So when they asked me to do family photos I was so excited. Carson and Arianna now have a beautiful baby, and Ashley is engaged! So many amazing things, and being able to see this family grow, and new families start, is such an amazing honor. So here is this beautiful growing family - what a privilege it is to share these photos.
Read MoreBrennan and Brooklon had a wedding with so many incredible moments. From Brooklon’s mom starting to cry as she helped her daughter into her dress, to the couple painting each others hands (in black!), to the sunset that we didn’t think we’d have (sorry not sorry about the number of sunset photos in this blog…), this wedding was packed with so many awesome people, moments, and it’s so great to have been there for all of it. I hope you love these, and i’m so excited to share this with you!
Read MoreSo every year I take pictures of my family. Not just the four of us (five, if you count our dog) but my parents, brothers and sisters and all the people that come with them. It is normally one of the hardest shoots i’ll do every year, because no one has a hard time complaining to their brother. This year, luckily it all went very smoothly (minus a brief moment my own children decided it was a good time to have a breakdown). I hope you love the photos!
Read MoreIt was more than eight years ago that I first met the Hartzog family as I was getting ready to shoot Waylon and Arionne’s wedding. Since then i’ve had the privilege of being there for many other family photos, and it’s such a privilege they think of me every time they come in town. This family is a fun one, quick to laugh, easy to joke with, and just great to talk to. So this particular photo shoot, at the top of a mountain looking over the river and mountains near Sandpoint was a lot of fun for me. Beautiful spot, great people - all I could hope for.
Read MoreFrom the beginning, Ted and Sara are two people I have genuinely enjoyed getting to know. From our snow covered hike for their engagement photos, to one of the most unique moments i’ve ever experienced at a wedding, Ted and Sara have been a joy. Something i’m sure is no new news to you. But for me, as I have gotten to know them, their family and friends, see their passions and likes, it has truly been something I have enjoyed. I will always think fondly on the sunset session we did, where the Lilac Parade was about to start downtown Spokane and we were walking down the middle of the road - An empty road surrounded by people cheering our Air Force pilot. So many good moments, laughs, smiles and people, and i’m so excited that I get to share a glimpse of those moments with. you.
