Destination Engagement Photographer: Daniel & Janell

Daniel and Janell are clearly two amazing people. They are kind, easy to talk to, and game for anything. Look no further than these engagement photos (some of these places were NOT easy to get to). I had so much fun with both of them, so much so I didn't get to hear the full story of how they met because we were talking and joking about other things. I do know they met online, and that Daniel sent the first message (although he doesn't know what he said) and that it is through that one step of courage, that one step of "why not?" that this relationship was born. I also know that they don't love the same things.

Coeur d'Alene Wedding Photographer: Jeremiah and Kendra's Wedding

Jeremiah and Kendra are like so many other people in 2020 - everything about their wedding day had to change. The venue they wanted to get married at couldn’t take them, the number of guests they wanted couldn’t come, and they were forced to change everything about their wedding mere weeks before their actual date. To top everything off, they faced down insane smoke and fires from all over the area (which luckily lessened on the day of because of a timely rain storm) and in the end they came down to one conclusion - how much of it all really matters? They wanted to get married, they wanted to tell all their friends and family “I love this one, and no other” and so they went for it. Up at a private residence overlooking Bayview in Idaho, these two had a beautiful wedding, with some amazing friends, great food, and a day they will never forget. I’m pumped to get to share these photos with you, and I hope you love them as much as I.

Spokane Family Photographer: The Crowder Family

Sometimes things change, as so often things have tended to happen in 2020, and this family shoot is no different. Justin and Emily were two people that were going to get married this year, and now it’s next year. What this meant? Let’s do a family photo shoot instead! I was pumped to meet everyone on Emily’s side of the family and get to laugh with them again. I’m looking forward to the next time we see each other, as every time we are together, it has been a blast.

Coeur d'Alene Family Photographer: The Newby Family

I had the chance to meet the Newby family a couple years ago when I photographed Chelsea’s sister Lindsey and her amazing winter wedding. There is no doubt that Chelsea has a beautiful family, and while this shoot was short, it was certainly sweet. These guys are pretty awesome.

Farragut State Park Engagement: Ryan & Elizabeth

I think the best way to start off this blog is by making a statement. Dan is the man. Yeah. You see, a couple years before Ryan and Elizabeth ever met Dan started talking to Ryan about her, and also talking to Elizabeth's dad about Ryan. The first time Elizabeth heard of Ryan, it was roughly a year before they ever met - her dad was trying to get them together. I don't know about you, but I've never exactly had much faith that my parents would find the right one for me, I wanted to do that. Elizabeth must have thought something similar, because she didn't meet with Ryan.

Coeur d'Alene Wedding Photographer: Mike & Kami's Fall Wedding

Kami is the barista at my favorite coffee shop it Coeur d’Alene (Calypsos Coffee). I love the place for it’s numerous seating options, great people, and friendly atmosphere. So when I found out that the beautiful and kind person who makes my coffee was getting married I was SO excited for her. While their wedding was very small, one thing that was obvious to me was just how much these two loved each other. From their vows, to how they interact, I really enjoyed my time with them, hearing a little bit about how they met (they both worked at Hastings back in the day) and how they came together. I hope you love these photos, as I certainly loved being there to take them.
