I only met the Rodda family the day I took their photos. But what I got to know very quickly is that they are an amazing family (well, kind of 3 families at this point). They are kind, understanding, and have some amazing children. I loved capturing these for them, and am so pumped to share.
Read MoreJoe and Alison had one of my favorite weddings of the year in beautiful Montana, just outside Glacier National Park. It wasn’t my favorite because it was so beautiful (which is was) or because there were people there that I knew (which I did). Those things certainly made their wedding even more amazing. No, my highlight was the people - both the Mitzel family (whom I have grown to highly enjoy, both for their compassion, kindness, and love for life) as well as the Lunde family (whom I got to meet for the first time at this wedding). Joe and Alison are two amazing people, two people I would have been friends with had our lives crossed, and two people I felt so privileged to be chosen to capture one of the most important days of their life. So here are some of my favorite photographs from their incredible Montana wedding.
Read MoreCarey is an amazing young man. He’s smart, athletic, kind, and easy to relate to. I’ve always gotten along with him, and it’s been a privilege to say that i’ve gotten to know him over the last three years or so. He’s one of those people you always love having around as he just contributes to whatever you're doing in such a positive way. I’ve seen him in hard times and great times, and he loves to compete, he loves to get better. So being able to take his senior photos, capture the man he is and some of the things he loves has been a huge privilege for me. If you know him, you also know what I mean. He’s a great guy, and i’m pumped to see what he does with his many gifts.
Read MoreConner Childs is someone i’ve known since he was around three years old. And for me, knowing he is a senior in high school is a crazy feeling - and certainly makes me feel old. And while I haven’t seen or spoken with him in years, it was awesome getting to talk with him again and see how life has been treating him. I hope to get the chance to watch him this winter when his basketball team comes up to play the local Lake City Timberwolves in the Christmas tournament.
Read MoreSam and Shea knew about each other way before they ever really got to know each other. Their friends were friends. The first time they ever really talked Shea was having a party at her house, and Sam's roommate was going, so he invited Sam. Sam had known about Shea through various stories (some involving garage doors) and decided to go - he wasn't doing anything anyway.
Read MoreThey met online, as many people do these days. Although, it wasn't the normal way. It wasn't on Match.com, or Tinder, or anything like that. It was on a forum (basically). Izzie had replied to something Damian had said, and that sparked a conversation. Well, that went for a little while and interest was stirred. They both quickly realized that they both have a lot of interests in common, from their love of cars, to even religion, things seemed to just - work.
