Priest Lake Wedding: David & Aly's Hills Resort Winter Wedding

Aly and David asked me to come out to the Hills Resort on Priest Lake for their simple winter wedding late last month. It was beautiful. The day before we got a fresh six inches of snow that covered all the trees and ground, giving us a beautiful blanket of white snow. The couple themselves were so kind, and I loved meeting their families. I love these small, simple weddings that have become more and more common over the last year, and I hope I get the chance to do more of them. Less people, but more time to spend with those people. It was an amazing wedding with great people at a beautiful location.

Coeur d'Alene Engagement: Michael & Malinda

They met in high school, freshman year. The thing about both Michael and Malinda that I found out during our shoot is they are both driven - they both work hard and are prepared people. What does this have to do with freshman year of high school? It means Malinda was taking 9 classes to everyone’s regular 8. It also means she had a huge pile of books in her hands as she walked to class. Michael, being the kind guy he is - and also thinking Malinda was pretty darn cute - asked her if she needed help. What a better way to start talking to the cute girl in class than to start out by being a gentleman?

Spokane Wedding Photographer: Shane & Whitney's Roberts Mansion Wedding

Shane and Whitney are a pretty amazing couple. They planned a wedding during one of the hardest times in the last century, they found a way to love each other, to show love, and to be be loved by their closest friends when so many things seem to not go as planned. Their wedding day was truly beautiful, with such great friends and family at their wedding, and in such a beautiful location downtown Spokane, Shane and Whitney had a beautiful intimate ceremony. There were so many touching moments and beautiful moments, I would say not watching their photo story, not hearing those moments would do you a disservice. I loved being their on that day, but also being able to relieve it as I edited the photos.

Family Photographer: Alex and Avery

There is something amazing about a father’s love for his daughter. So when I had the chance to take some photos of Alex with his (incredibly cute) daughter, Avery, I was pumped. Nothing can beat that amazing smile she has, or the love that is so evident from him when he looks at her. What a blessing they are, not just to each other, but to me and my family.

Coeur d'Alene Engagement: Jarrod & Kelly's Winter Engagement

They met online - as so many couples do these days. It was several years ago so the exact conversation isn't something that is remembered, but we do know Jared made contact first with some sort of cleaver quip. Kelly said something that stood out to her first was how funny he was, he made her laugh. Jared's first impression of her was how great looking she was, and thus, it drove him to look closer at her profile. She liked to eat frozen peaches - yeah. Anyway, so he messaged her, and they started to talk.

Winter Wedding at Circling Raven: Tyson & Chandler

Tyson and Chandler are two amazing people, something I learned early in 2020 when we had the chance to do their engagement photos. At the time, the idea that something like COVID would be a problem “all the way in December” seemed crazy. So the plan was on. A couple months later however, I got a call from Chandler, they were moving the wedding to 2021 - as so many brides decided to do. So we rescheduled, things moved, and it was going to be another year until I got to see these two wonderful people again.
