Sandpoint Engagement Photos: Jeff & Katie's Engagement

Jeff and Katie are two amazing people. Both live in DC these days but Jeff grew up here in the Pacific Northwest, in Sandpoint. Katie had never been out here though before they met, and when we did this engagement shoot this was one of the first times she had ever been in the area. There were a lot of things that stood out to me about this experience for her. One of them was how kind the people are up here in the Northwest. For one of the photos below (them sitting on a bench with just the water behind them), there were some girls sun bathing in the way. I may have been able to make the shot work with them in there, but instead they looked up and said “do you want us to move?!” - such a kind question.

Wedding at Quail Run Ranch: Jake & Taylors Eastern Washington Wedding

Jake and Taylor had an incredible wedding. From their first look, to their amazing friends and family, to their incredible sunset (which I may have posted too many of their photos from that sunset session… sorry i’m not sorry?) Jake and Taylor are two amazing humans. I loved getting to know them, watching them smile big, laugh, and have a great time with each other. Whether that’s eating some pepperoni pizza real quick in the middle of our photo session or trying not to flip over while floating out on the pond, these two were amazing, and i’m so excited that I get to share so many amazing moments from one of the biggest days of their lives.

Engagement Photographer: Bronson and Brittany

They met online, as so many people do these days (seriously though, SO many people!). Brittany saw Bronson's profile and saw a lot of things she liked. Not only was he incredibly "cute" but he also had dogs, wanted a real relationship, seemed to be looking for something real. So she messaged him.

Family Photographer in CDA: The Sellers Family

I had the opportunity to drive out and meet the Sellers family earlier this summer and they were awesome! Not only are they kind and thoughtful, but they were so easy to get along with, laugh with, and talk to. I loved getting to capture this beautiful family, and i’m pumped I get to share these photos with you.

Engagement Photos on Tubbs Hill: Seth & Brittney

Seth and Brittney are two amazing people that grew up kind of far apart (Seth just outside of Bend, Brittney near the Tri-Cities… if I remember correctly) and so they didn't meet growing up, or in school or anything like that. They met like so many couples do these days - on Tinder. You see, Seth moved away from his home town as he was doing research with a PHD student, and when he saw Brittney's picture on Tinder, he did the obvious thing - he swiped right.

North Idaho Adventure: Hiking in the Mountains

Every summer I get the chance to get outside - most of the time it’s because i’m at your wedding, or visiting with someone’s family, or whatever. But even more rarely I get to do some hiking because I WANT to, because I love to be outside, because I love my job so much that I want to do it when i’m not actually doing it. These photos are the result of me and some friends getting up and leaving at 2am to go on a hike so we could reach the top of this mountain in North Idaho before the sun rose over the horizon. We timed it perfectly and arrived during blue hour. There are perhaps more photos here than need to be, but I couldn’t help myself. Every moment was beautiful, and trying to capture what it’s like, sitting on the side of a hill as the very first rays of sun peek out over the mountains is something that’s hard to describe.
