Chris and Kelsey had quite the journey to their August 14 wedding. From what I understand, they had to reschedule some four or five times, only finding me on that fifth time, slowly moving out of 2020 to 2021. What a blessing it was for me that they would end up booking me. These two are so kind, not just to each other, but to those around them. They are so quick to laugh (look no further than the photos below) and we had so much fun getting to know each of the bridal party. Their wedding featured several things that don’t normally happen, such as a ceremony inside the Chateau Rive (a leftover idea from when their ceremony was going to be in the winter), and I am so happy that I got to be a part of their beautiful day. I hope these pictures, and all the love they represent, are at least partly sufficient in showing of such a beautiful day. Big thanks to Jaime Johnson Events for being such a great wedding planner.

I loved seeing them laugh and smile, and just be themselves. Now I have the chance to share these moments with you, and I hope you love them!
Read MoreAndy and Malissa are an amazing couple. In this case, it was an interesting experience for me because I first met them in 2019 for their engagement photos. I met their family, and we had a great time. Then 2020 happened, and I ended up not seeing them for almost two years. But those amazing smiles, friendly kind attitudes and all that is amazing about these two remained the same - the biggest difference being how old their kids were. What a beautiful wedding we had at the Coeur d’Alene Resort, and even with the smoke, we managed to make something i’m very happy with. What an incredible day, location, and couple.
Read MoreThey met at the gym. Tyler is a trainer (an excellent one at that) and if I remember right she had joined his gym and he was giving some instruction. He had asked for someone to be an example, and no one volunteered - except Kassandra. This was how they met, but it took time for them to grow a friendship - always at the gym. They would talk together, joke around, often stretching or doing certain things around the same time. They became friends. Over the course of time, each one of them would get out of their respective relationships and one day Kassandra was lamenting about wanting to go on a hike, and Tyler said "well, let's go" So they did.
Read MoreThey met at a restaurant, where Mary was the server and Gabe was the patron. Gabe said the first thing he noticed was her eyes (which isn't surprising when you see Mary's eyes) but then the second thing he noticed was her name. You see, for the last 6 generations or so everyone in Gabe's family has married a Mary - and in that moment Gabe was looking at a kind, absolutely beautiful, woman with the name of Mary and he thought "why not? Crazier things have happened." - So he flirted. Mary, for her part remembers him being "really cute" but nothing crazy really happened that night. However, Mary happened to be a mutual friend of one of his friends so he found her on Facebook, added her and sent her a message. She was kind enough to reply, but "wasn't looking for a relationship at the time" so after a couple mssages she ghosted him (aka, stopped replying).
Read MoreA couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph the German-Murrey family again. They have always been so kind, quick to smile, and a really amazing family. Well only a couple days ago I received an email informing me that Rosalie, this beautiful, vibrant girl passed away in her sleep. This is crushing to me and there is very little I can say. I feel terrible. As a father of two incredible boys, I can’t relate to the pain that these two must be feeling. I asked Julie if I should still post these photos, and I hope that these photos bring back some of the amazing memories of Rosalie. My heart and prayers go out to their family.
