Engagement Photographer: Nathan & Whitney's Sandpoint Engagement

I drove up to Sandpoint to take Nathan and Whitney's engagement photos. We went to some area's I knew, some I didn't, but what I found was that their company was so welcoming. Our conversation didn't lag, and it was so fun just talking to them. I often get to a point during a shoot where I get the chance to ask about how a couple met, how they came together, what makes them who they are. It's a party that I always enjoy, and love watching a couple work through the experience again. In Nathan and Whitney's case, I only realized after the fact we never even got to that point. We were talking and having fun, and before long, the shoot was over. I'm sure their wedding will be beautiful, and I can't wait to spend some more time with these two amazing people this December when I photograph their wedding.

Spokane Engagement Photographer: Carson & Arianna

They met on a blind date. Carson and Arianna had only talked for the first time the day before, when Arianna (who had run out of gas) was waiting for help, and they talked on the phone. It was "a little awkward" but mostly they had a good conversation, with Carson getting some good laughs out of Arianna.

Coeur d'Alene Engagement Photographer: Tyson & Chandler

They met at the bar. They had a mutual friend who invited them both. It was Karaoke night. I'd like to say they hit it off right away, that the night was crazy and fun with tons of spontanious moments - but I can't. Tyson told me that as soon as he saw her, he decided she was out of his league, and that he should just move on. Chandler, for her part, told me she barely noticed him that night. The point is, this is where they met.

Settlers Creek Wedding: Michael & Misty

They met in Costa Rica. They were there for some coaching and ended up in the same group. They were going through a rapid fire question exercise when Mike noticed Misty - truthfully, she’s hard to miss with those incredibly stunning blue eyes. Mike told me it was like they were “staring into his soul”. This began their friendship - yeah. Their friendship.

Spokane Engagement Photos: Jarrett & Meagan

They met at work. Jarrett said she was the "beautiful" girl that did all the pay checks. But he didn't really have a chance at talking to her much, and their paths didn't cross. In fact, Meagan really didn't even know he existed at this point. Then Jarrett left to go back to school.
