North Idaho Winter Engagement: Trevor & Jackie

Trevor and Jackie hold a special place in my heart, because it was at a wedding I photographed (shout out to the amazing Nick and Brianna!) that they met. A couple years ago I photographed a wedding in Mexico for Nick and Brianna Shriner, and while I was there I met the very kind bridesmaid named Jackie, and the quite (at least, to me) but kind groomsman Trevor. That was it, that was my experience. What I didn't know was that just before the wedding the bridemaids were telling Jackie all about the "cute single groomsman" named Trevor, and how because they were all taken, she would have to go for him.

Wedding at the Coeur d'Alene Resort: Michael & Preston

Michael and Preston had such an incredible, snowy, winter wedding. It wasn’t just amazing because of their kind and loving families, or because the sun was out (but it was still cold enough to keep the snow nice and fluffy), or because we actually had snow - but because the couple made the night. I don’t think i’ve ever had a bride tough the cold so well, and for so long. Preston wanted winter wedding photos, and she got them! She only had to hide under her (very beautiful) fur coat at the very end of our portraits. But here’s the thing, I don’t remember this wedding just because of it’s great portraits, I remember it for the friends they had, the laughter they brought, and of course the great dancing. I am so excited that I get to share this incredible wedding, and I hope you love the photos, the moments, that I feature here.

Downtown Spokane Wedding: Ray & Erin

Ray and Erin’s downtown Spokane wedding in mid November was absolutely beautiful. We had the privilege of being in the excellent McGinnity Room, with their beautiful urban settings, warm lights and beautiful windows, it had a great classic feel. Ray and Erin are two people I didn’t have the chance of photographing engagement photos before hand, so their wedding day was when I had the chance to meet them in person for the first time. What a privilege that was! Both of them are so kind, and I really enjoyed getting to know their friends and family. That is something that can easily be said about these two, they have a lot of friends, and it made their day full with laughter and great moments. I hope you love these photos, I sure enjoyed taking them.

Settlers Creek Wedding: Steve & Taunya

Steve and Taunya had an incredible wedding. From the way Steve looked at Taunya at the first look, to the beautiful fall colors, there was such great emotion and love. I loved listening to them work through their vows, and spend time with their family. In a year where people were still struggling for normalcy with Covid, these two found the time to say “I love you” and I am so happy I was able to be there to watch it all. I hope you love the photos, don’t forget to watch the photo story (it has their audio! Don’t miss it!) and I hope it lets you experience even a little of the magic of their wedding day. Also, sorry i’m not sorry about the number of sunset photos, I couldn’t choose.

Spokane Family Photographer: The Odeh Family

This family is something special. Seriously, the Odeh family is one of those families I enjoy seeing, talking to, and laughing with. Going back to their engagement photos, their wedding, and the maternity photos I took with them before their first child was born, I have always enjoyed these two. So when I got an email from Caitlin asking me to capture some maternity photos before their second child came, I was so honored. It’s something i’ve been seeing more (my wedding clients growing families) and it’s hard not to be floored with appreciation. I get to be there, I get to see, not just the beginning, but the follow through. I get to see the incredible families that their wedding started - that was born from their commitment to each other. I absolutely love it. Here’s to the Odeh family, and everything they are, I couldn’t be happier for them.
